Lark Books. The following is the publisher's info on the book:
From a closed hutch and bedside table to cupboards, curios, and a waterfall chest ofdrawers, these 500 outstanding contemporary cabinets showcase the art and craft of fine furniture making. These newly made works celebrate shape, joinery, detailing, color, or the subtle combination of all those qualities. Above all, each piece testifies to the design and technical skills of its creator, and has that most precious element of all: imagination.

• One of Ron Cook's hand-carved folk spoons was included in the American Association of Woodturners Gallery of Wood Art, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in an AAW Symposium Special Exhibition, called A Gathering of Spoons: Selections from the collection of Norman D. Stevens. An exhibition catalog with the same title is available through the AAW website. The following is part of the Foreword by Barry Gordon and Norm Sartorius:
The wooden spoon is among the oldest of the world's essential funcional objects. Though often mundane, it can also provide an opportunity for skilled wood artists to create elegant sculptural objects to be examined, handled, and admired. ...A Gathering of Spoons is an extraordinary collection of nine-inch wooden spoons assembled by Norman D. Stevens since 2006, which documents contemporary spoon making in the early 21st century. This selection of 100 teaspoons from a collection of more than 180 pieces is a feast for the eyes. ...Spoons in the exhibit range from those with a functional folk character to highly sophisticated pieces intended as decorative objects. ...The impressive number of participating spoon carvers reflects widespread interest by woodworkers in this traditional craft.
